David Two Arrows and Saskia Vanderhoop

David Two Arrows Vanderhoop, Aquinnah Wampanoag elder and co-founder of Sassafras Earth Education a nonprofit that applies ancient mentoring techniques, educates on a truthful representation and increased awareness of the indigenous peoples of Turtle Island, offers consultation and presentations on cultural competency since 2003. David is a truth and story teller, and an activist on indigenous issues and racial justice.

Saskia Vanderhoop, co-founder of Sassafras Earth Education is an earth educator, public speaker, and mentor. Saskia has lived in a Wampanoag family/community for 25 years and became a cultural bridger. Saskia is deeply committed and outspoken about educating and restoring justice for the first peoples and an active in erasing racism. Saskia coordinated the Nature Connection Network from it’s inception to 2020.
